As a result, 19 species of bats were found within protected areas of the Reserve, such as Rhinolophus hipposideros, Plecotus auritus, P. austriacus, Barbastella barbastellus, Myotis myotis, M. dasycneme, M. bechsteinii, M. daubentonii, M. mystacinus, M. brandtii, M. alcathoe, Pipistrellus pipistrellus, P. nathusii, P. kuhlii, P. pygmaeus, Nyctalus leisleri, N. noctula, Eptesicus serotinus, and Vespertilio murinus. They represent 73 % of the species composition of the East European bat fauna indicating the great importance of the Reserve in its conservation.
