Their role in commercial and economic activities is extremely great. Having become the center of everyday life, the dog is a cultural code of the sub-ethnic group. The linguoculturological approach was adopted to analyze the involvement of dogs in the script of various folklore genres. The article describes materials of dialectal dictionaries and archival funds, demonstrating the linguistic representation of the image of a dog.
