The experiment was carried out where 108 plants representing 6 plant species were used, each plant variety represented by 18 individuals, then divided the number of plants into two halves, the first one was placed in an open area exposed to winds from all sides without any cover and the second half was placed in an area protected from the direct influence of the winds. The plants of each half were divided into three groups, the first group was cultivated in white sea sand, the second one was cultivated in loamy soils and the third one was cultivated in clean red soil. With reference to the landscape survey at the site, three usual plant varieties were used, namely Nerium oleander, N. oleander 'Petite Salmon' and Bougainvillea sanderiana comparing them with three new varieties, namely, Bougainvillea 'California Gold', Lantana camara and Lantana × money. The experimental layout was designed to provide a split-split plot design containing three replicates. The main plot was the wind exposure, different media represented subplots, while different species were the sub-subplot. Three pots were used as a plot for each treatment. The results of this study showed that the type of soil used, as well as the influence of climatic changes, the most important of which is wind, plays an important role in the morphological characteristics of various ornamental plants in the northern coastal region. The cultivar Bougainvillea 'California Gold' excelled in the different ...
