Summary:The article summarizes experiences in experimental architectural design for the harsh climatic conditions of the Arctic. The work is carried out taking into account the priorities defined in the State Program of the Russian Federation «Socio-Economic Development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation». The authors set out to create comfortable conditions for permanent human stay and protection from adverse external influences in the severe climate of the Arctic region. The article presents experiences in the implementation of the basic principles of green architecture in the experimental design of civil facilities for Arctic conditions. The design techniques and tools proposed in the article can be applied to other regions with challenging natural and climatic conditions.
