Description
Summary:Spring migration of the White-Tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) within the Omsk region proceeds in a wide zone along the Irtysh river, in a North-North-Westerly direction. In spring and early summer, established breeding pairs are distributed across the nesting sites in all climatic zones of the region from the steppes to the taiga; immature and single individuals inhabit mainly the Northern forest-steppe, the floodplain of the Irtysh river, and the shores of large freshwater lakes. In September-October, migrating individuals stay for long periods in feeding areas, concentrating in the southeastern part of the territory.
