Based on the analysis, the author comes to the conclusion that one of the goals of the “information war” against Russia on the Arctic issue is to weaken the Russian position, to limit the potential of using the Northern Sea Route, which requires Russia to combine efforts with a number of the countries in Eurasia. The author considers the joint efforts to form an international Arctic information agenda are helpful, including the framework of the BRICS, where Russia and a number of Asian players in the Arctic combine special international contexts. The international legal initiative can play a significant role in this, when the outlines of the joint interests of Russia and its partners from East Asia in the Arctic will be sealed with appropriate documents at the bilateral level.
