Description
Summary:The article shows the changes taking place with socio-cultural, ideological processes and mass consciousness under the conditions of not quite favorable socio-political situation. In this regard, the issues of further socio-cultural development of the country, forms and methods of social transformation become relevant for the study. The dynamics of the socio-cultural processes taking place in the country show that Russia cannot confess Western values and follow the Western vector of development, despite the pressure from outside. The article is based on the results of a study conducted by the Center for the sociology of ideological and socio-cultural processes, ISPR FCTAS RAS, conducted in 2022, which was influenced by both the beginning of the post-pandemic period and the beginning of a special military operation. The study was conducted in Moscow, the Murmansk and Arkhangelsk oblasts, and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Social democratic values: human rights and freedoms, safety, social security, as well as the level of trust in religious institutions, were subjected to a special study. The author concludes that the dynamics of socio-cultural processes cannot move forward without improving the geopolitical situation with its restrictive measures and other obstacles.
