Summary: | Purpose. The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of bilingualism in children of preschool age. Objective: to identify factors affecting the decrease in the level of knowledge of the native (Yakut) language in children of preschool age. The plots and content of the play activity of children brought up in mono-ethnic families, pre-school educational institutions with the native language of upbringing are analyzed, their play preferences are revealed. Method or methodology of carrying out work. The article used a set of research methods, including: standardized conversation with children, observation of gaming activities, a survey of parents, a method of statistical processing. Results. The main factors affecting the decrease in the level of knowledge of the mother tongue in children are: intensive invasion of information technologies into the children’s subculture; ousting from it folk games, traditional plot-role-playing games; reducing the time of communication between children and parents in the family. Play activity should be considered as one of the effective mechanisms for the formation of a balanced bilingualism in children. Conclusion. Playing activity can be an effective mechanism for the formation of a balanced bilingualism in children. Scope of results. In the complex enrichment of the content of children’s play activity, taking into account the development of early national-russian bilingualism. |
