Summary:A new species, Dictis oranhutan sp. n., is diagnosed and described from the Sumatra Island (Indonesia) based on a single male. The Pantropical Scytodes fusca Walckenaer, 1837 is recorded from this island for the first time. Dictis elongata Dankittipakul & Singtripop, 2010, initially described from Thailand, is redescribed and recorded from Laos for the first time, representing the first record of the genus in this country. Detailed descriptions, digital photographs and a map of distributional records of Scytodidae in the Indomalayan Realm are provided.
