Detective Erlendur Sveinsson is the protagonist, as in so many of Indriðason’s books. In this interview, conducted shortly before the book’s release, Arnaldur Indriðason tells us a bit about Erlendur and his colleague Marion Briem. He also discusses how he positions himself within the Scandiavian crime novel tradition.
