Modern humanitarian-geographical studies present them as a correlation system, including natural ecosystems, economic, residential, language, and spiritual systems of a living community. This concept may be used in applied directions: sustainable development (exemplified by the Arctic zone of Russia), geopolitics, “humanization” of geographical studies, etc.
