Description
Summary:The paper presents the results of integrated petrophysical and geophysical studies of Marunkeu and Nerkayu complexes in the north of the Urals. Qualitative interpretation of magnetic and gravitational fields is performed. It is shown that a wide range of changes in the magnetic properties of rocks of eclogite-containing complexes is not always connected with the magnetic field strength. On the contrary, contrasting density distribution in the studied complexes is recorded in the local anomalies of increased intensity in a gravitational field and is the main source of information on the deep structure of Nerkayu and Marunkeu complexes. In this article, big attention is paid to the analysis of local anomalies that have a significant impact on the nature of the anomalous gravitational field. Dedicated local anomalies of the upper and middle crust represent areas of high-density (more mafic) rocks of Nerkayu and Marunkeu complexes. The results of the qualitative interpretation of the gravity field, the similarity for the deep characteristics of eclogite complexes in local anomalies, and their connection with mapped surface objects allow suggesting a unified deep nature of Nerkayu and Marunkeu complexes.
