Summary:Abstract: In order to analyze the importance of anal-genital sexual practices as mechanisms of transmission of HIV/AIDS in sero-positive women, two hundred ninety six medical cases were reviewed. The antecedents were present in 82,27% of the females and 7,17% of male patients. Given the high percentage found in women, the results suggests this practice is risky. Resumen: Para analizar la importancia de las relaciones anogenitales en la transmisión del VIH/SIDA en mujeres seropositivas, se revisaron 269 historias médicas. El antecedente de esta práctica sexual se encontró en 86,27% mujeres y sólo 7,31% entre hombres. Dado el alto porcentaje encontrado en mujeres, se sugiere como práctica de riesgo.
