The authors analyze theoretical and methodological approaches to the essence of the concepts: ethnos, ethnicity, cultural space, natural and cultural heritage. They demonstrate the peculiarities of the linguistic and cultural heritage of Yakutia, its possibilities in positioning the region and promoting the culture of Yakut people.
