Effect of refertilization of pine and birch stands on a drained fertile mire.
Refertilization with PK, about 15 years after the first fertilizer application, increased tree growth and the amount of nutrients in tree litter in Scots pine ( L.) and birch (mainly Erhr.) stands on a drained fertile mire in Northern Finland (65°34 Nâ, 25°42â E). Summary: | Refertilization with PK, about 15 years after the first fertilizer application, increased tree growth and the amount of nutrients in tree litter in Scots pine ( L.) and birch (mainly Erhr.) stands on a drained fertile mire in Northern Finland (65°34 Nâ, 25°42â E). The increase in growth and nutrient contents after refertilization was greatest in the mature pine stand where the application of nitrogen and micronutrients gave an additional response compared to the PK-application.Pinus sylvestrisBetula pubescens |
