Bioerosió en mol·luscs pleistocens de la plataforma marina catalana

En aquest treball es revisa i actualitza el coneixement sobre les traces de macrobioerosió que apareixen en conquilles de mol·luscs del Würmià (Pleistocè superior) de la costa catalana. Les mostres procedeixen de tres grans àrees que s’anomenen Palamós, Blanes i delta de l’Ebre, i han estat obtingudes a profunditats entre 70 i 425 m sobre la plataforma marina mitjançant les xarxes d’arrossegament dels vaixells de pesca que hi feinegen. Les espècies més abundants són els bivalves Arctica islandica i Chlamys islandica i els gasteròpodes Buccinum undatum i Neptunea contraria. S’han identificat 22 icnotàxons corresponents a macrobioerosió, dels quals 17 no havien estat mai assenyalats en aquestes conquilles. Les traces més freqüents s’identifiquen com les icnoespècies Entobia ispp., Maeandropolydora sulcans, Umbichnus inopinatus, Camarichnus isp., Centrichnus concentricus i Oichnus ispp., que obeeixen a diferents comportaments ecològics. C. concentricus i C. eccentricus s’analitzen amb especial detall. La informació icnològica contribueix a millorar i expandir el coneixement sobre la biodiversitat bentònica durant el darrer període glacial de la Mediterrània i sobre les interaccions biològiques en el passat geològic. This work reviews and updates the knowledge on the macrobioerosion traces that appear in molluscan shells of the Würmian (Upper Pleistocene) of the Catalan coast. The samples come from three large areas at Palamós, Blanes and the Ebre Delta, and have been obtained at depths between 70 and 425 m above the marine platform through the trawls of the fishing boats that work there. The most abundant species are the bivalves Arctica islandica and Chlamys islandica and the gastropods Buccinum undatum and Neptunea contraria. Up to 22 ichnotaxa corresponding to macrobioerosion have been identified, of which 17 have never been reported in these shells. The most common traces are identified as the ichnospecies Entobia ispp., Maeandropolydora sulcans, Umbichnus inopinatus, Camarichnus isp., Centrichnus ...
