La incertidumbre de la posmodernidad. Islandia (2018) de Lluïsa Cunillé

The purpose of this article is to analyse one of the last Lluïsa Cunillé‘s dramatic work: Islandia, staging in June 2018 by Centro Dramático Nacional (María Guerrero‘s theatre). Before that, it is presented a summary of his work as dramatic writer to show her dramatic engagement and a philosophical and moralist intention in most of her principal works. On the other hand, I highlight the intertextuality with two XX century writers: Federico García Lorca and, especially, John Dos Passos, being related to the New York idiosyncrasy and the image of that city in the literature. El propósito de este artículo es analizar una de las últimas obras dramáticas de Lluïsa Cunillé: Islandia, estrenada en junio de 2018 por el Centro Dramático Nacional (Teatro María Guerrero). Previamente, se expone un esbozo de su trayectoria como dramaturga para vislumbrar ese compromiso teatral e intencionalidad filosófica y moral de algunas de sus obras más relevantes. Por otro lado, se hará hincapié en la intertextualidad con autores del siglo XX como Federico García Lorca y, sobre todo, John Dos Passos, en lo referente a la idiosincrasia neoyorkina y la literaturización de la ciudad estadounidense.
