The development of human beings, which started to settle in the region of Anatolia defined as the Fertile Crescent, has gained a great momentum and left countless artifact in this geography. It is critical that thousands of years of knowledge and experience to be obtained from these artifacts are documented by preserving their original features and passed on to future generations. In this context, one of the first methods to be applied to reveal archaeological sites is survey. In the survey, in addition to small findings such as ceramics, glass, metal and coins, architectural elements related to the structure in the area can also be found. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) photogrammetry, which is a new data collection platform for survey, has been used frequently in recent years with the developing technology. With this method, products such as coordinated orthophoto, digital surface model, contour lines, cross section and longitudinal section of the study area can be obtained. In this study, the above-mentioned topographic products were obtained by using UAV photogrammetry in the region known as Suayip City, located 80 km south of Sanliurfa and their contribution to the survey was investigated. |
