The material, the processing methods, and the repertoire of figures of any belt buckle shed light on the art, socioeconomic status, and religious life of the period. There are lion, pegasus, griffon, twisted double dragon, an animal fight scene, and peacock figures on the six artifacts that we examine from the belt buckles exhibited in Kayseri Seljuk Civilization Museum. The casting technique was used in the production of the works, and the scraping technique was used in the ornaments. The raw material of the belt buckles examined is bronze and in rectangular form. The belts of the belt buckles have not reached nowadays. Besides, there is no information about the find places, names of the masters, and periods of belt buckles. Belt buckles are small objects. Therefore, they can be transported easily. Additionally, no information is inscribed generally on belt buckles. For all these reasons, it cannot possible to reach an exact judgment about the historical background of the works. In this study, information about the general features of the works was given and compared with similar works in terms of form, decoration, material, figure, and composition. In light of all this information, an approximate period was determined. Küçük objeler arasında yer alan kemer tokaları, üzerinde oldukça naif ve etkileyici sanatların bulunduğu kullanım eşyalarındandır. Herhangi bir kemer tokasının malzemesi işleniş niteliği ve figür repertuvarı bize dönemin sanatına, sosyoekonomik durumuna ve dini hayatına kadar ışık tutmaktadır. Kayseri Selçuklu Uygarlığı Müzesi’nde sergilenen kemer tokalarından incelediğimiz altı eser üzerinde aslan, pegasus, grifon, birbirine dolanmış çift ejder, hayvan mücadele sahnesi ve tavus kuşu figürleri yer almaktadır. Eserlerin yapımında döküm tekniği, süslemelerde ise kazıma tekniği kullanılmıştır. İncelenen kemer tokalarının hammaddesi bronz olup, dikdörtgen formdadır. Kemer tokalarının kemerleri günümüze ulaşamamıştır. Ayrıca kemer tokalarının bulunma yerleri, ustaların isimleri ve dönemleri hakkında bilgi bulunmamaktadır. Kemer tokaları küçük nesnelerdir. Bu nedenle kolaylıkla taşınabilirler. Ek olarak, kemer tokalarının üzerine genel olarak herhangi bir bilgi yazılmamaktadır. Tüm bu nedenlerden dolayı eserlerin tarihsel arka planı hakkında kesin bir yargıya varmak mümkün değildir. Yapılan bu çalışmada eserlerin genel özellikleri hakkında bilgi verilerek benzer eserler ile form, bezeme, malzeme, figür ve kompozisyon açısından karşılaştırılmıştır. Tüm bu bilgiler ışığında da yaklaşık bir dönem tespitine gidilmiştir.
