description The figure of dragon taking a place almost in every society, have been ascribed bad and good meanings. Although a creature of fiction is at outside of the material universe, both cosmological and mystical meanings uploaded for the creature, has also influenced the material meanings of those who ascribed meaning to it. The figure brought by Turks from Asia and kept using in Anatolia, has been often seen on architectural structures in Niğde. The figure of the dragon is seen in both Christian Turks’s churches, gargoyle of their houses, and Muslim Turks’ religious buildings as well as their tombs and civil architecture, which been the subject of similar aspects of this figure in Muslim and Christian Turks’ art productions. Hemen her toplumda kendine yer bulan ejder figürüne kimi kültürlerde iyi kimisinde kötü anlamlar yüklenmiştir.
