Data visualization illustrates wind force and directions. Descriptive text accompanies charts, covering topics such as weather, earthquakes, waterspouts, derelicts, dangerous navigation, shipwrecks and "unusual phenomena". Atlas depicts the ocean activity during each month from January, 1887, to December, 1889. In addition, other charts feature the derelict American schooner "W. L.
