Summary: | To determine winter population size and late winter distribution, we conducted an aerial survey of the Bering Sea wintering area of Spectacled Eiders (Somateria fischeri). During the aerial survey, the photographer (Timothy Bowman) took oblique photographs of 85 flocks. A subset of the best quality digital images were used for annotation and counting in digital image annotation software. A total of 76 digital image files were annotated using ImageJ software. This collection includes those 76 digital images, all in .JPG that include the annotations added to the image during the annotation process used to generate counts of eiders in the image. |
