Description
Summary:PASSCAL has been asked to provide instrumentation and support for 3 atonomous year round broadband seismic stations on the Mount Erebus volcano near McMurdo Station ANtarctica, to bridge what would otherwise be a gap in seismic monitoring of the mountain between the Mount Erebus Volcano Observatory (MEVO) demobilization and the next funded proposal. Proposed sites include Cones (CONZ), Lower Erebus Hut (LEH) and Hooper (HOO) or Nausea Nob (NAU). Q330 recording systems will be used with Trillium 120 seismometers, sampling at 200Hz.
