Figure CSB-1 4.13

This figure comes from the CIMR Deliverable 70 (Scientific Benefit Case Study 1) which evaluates CIMR Support for Future Shipping and Off-Shore Industry Activities. The figure shows a case study for the North Pole region. Left panel is from the Bootstrap 25km sea ice concentration product, right pan...

These map focus on the marginal ice zone (MIZ) and how important the coverage over the Pole is. While as previously shown the amount of detail in higher resolution SIC data is crucial for safe ship routing, this will be especially important in the future when the MIZ will advance towards the North Pole during the summer season.
