The analytical standard deviation stands at approximately ± 0.07 ‰. For AMS 14 C dating, 7–10 mg of well-preserved specimens of the planktic foraminifera N. pachyderma and 3–4 mg of the epifaunal benthic foraminifera C. wuellerstorfi were selected from the >150 μm fraction at core depths of 0–1 and 3–4 cm. The 14 C-ventilation age has been outlined as the conventional 14 C disparity observed between benthic and planktic foraminifera. The bottom seawater δ 18 O (δ 18 O sw ), expressed in permil relative to Standard Mean Ocean Water (SMOW), was computed from the equilibrium δ 18 O of C. wuellerstorfi . ...
