Description
Summary:The data includes several iPhone LiDAR scans from a coastal cliff with a melting ice-food in the town of Longyearbyen on Svalbard recorded on June 15 and 24, 2023. The different 3D models overlap and can be combined into one large file or treated separately as smaller files. Change can be calculated between scans of the same area, especially focusing on the melt of the ice-foot in between the two recoding dates. Each LiDAR scan is provided in three different data formats: (i) a textured, triangulated mesh, (ii) a geo-referenced LAS point cloud with coordinates in Lat. and Long. and (iii) a geo-referenced LAZ point cloud with coordinates in meters. The data is intended as a test dataset for the protocol paper 'High-resolution topographic surveying and change detection with the iPhone LiDAR.'
