Description
Summary:PROMICE automatic weather stations KAN_B (350 m a.s.l), KAN_L (680 m a.s.l), and KAN_U (1840 m a.s.l) in western Greenland mapped on a Landsat 8 image (July 8, 2015; Path 007, Row 013) (a); unfortunately, intermediate station KAN_M (1270 m a.s.l) was inactive for much of the period of interest. 2014 and 2015 2 m surface daily temperature, smoothed weekly (b). This figure, the smoothed weekly data, and the MATLAB code used to ingest, process, and preliminarily plot the data are also available in this fileset. Weather station data come from the Programme for Monitoring of the Greenland Ice Sheet (PROMICE) and the Greenland Analogue Project (GAP), provided by the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) at http://www.promice.dk .
