The data was collected in the spring, when the ground was snow covered.Once processed, this data can provide information on the elastic properties of the substrates beneath the survey lines.Seismic files were collected using 48 vertical component geophones and a sledgehammer source with maximum geophone spread lengths of 47 m and 70.5 m for the Terminal Moraine Site and Hummocky and Lateral Moraine sites, respectively. The subsurface at the Hummocky Site violates the assumptions for planar and plus-minus seismic refraction interpretation so this data should not be used for these purposes.See Watts et al.
