Scripts in Figure are used to generate figures in the main text and the supplementary information with FigureS referring to figures in supplementary information. delta_nee_wt_mean_std.nc and delta_ch4_long_wt_mean_std.nc are means and standard deviations of future CO 2 and CH 4 emissions in response to water table drawdown across the globe with RCP8.5, in unit of mg CO 2 -eq m -2 h -1 . We assume CH 4 has a global warming potential that is 25 times CO 2 over a 100-year time horizon.
