Summary: | Statistics Canada. StatCan - Current Tables: Indigenous People | Province: Nova Scotia | Table ID: 13100099 | Table Name: Health indicator profile, by Aboriginal identity and sex, age-standardized rate, four year estimates | Variable 1: Both sexes | Variable 2: First Nations, Métis, Non-Aboriginal identity population | Variable 3: One or more chronic conditions | Variable 4: Age-standardized rate (Rate) | Variable 5: N/A | Variable 6: N/A, 2010 - 2014. Data Planet™ Statistical Datasets: A SAGE Publishing Resource Dataset-ID: 075-002-017 Dataset: The Aboriginal peoples of Canada, as defined by the Constitution Act, 1982, comprise the Indian, Inuit, and Métis peoples of Canada. These distinct groups have unique heritages, languages, and cultures. Statistical information provided here covers the total Aboriginal population and each of the three groups, covering the subtopics of Aboriginal society and community; business and finance; education, literacy, and skills; health and well-being; households, housing, and environment; languages and cultures; and work, income, and spending. The datasets available in Data Planet represent the data tables released by Statistics Canada. These tables provide aggregate statistics on the Canadian population, and the nation’s resources, economy, society, and culture. In addition to conducting a Census every five years, approximately 350 active surveys are conducted on virtually all aspects of Canadian life. Statistics are provided for the nation as a whole, provinces, and other subnational geographies where available. For information on the statistical surveys and programs conducted by Statistics Canada, visit http://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb-bmdi/pub/indexth-eng.htm. The data tables replace the summary tables previously released by Statistics Canada via the CANSIM database.
