Data-Planet™ Statistical Ready Reference by Conquest Systems, Inc. [Data-file]. Dataset-ID: 024-001-007. Dataset: The Biodiversity and Protected Areas dataset was compiled by WRI from numerous sources, and includes 49 metrics related to protected areas; species of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and plants (total, endemic, threatened, and/or extinct); and trade in wildlife and live species. See alternative indicators relevant to the world's environment available from such sources as the World Bank, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, etc. Category: Natural Resources and Environment Source: World Resource Institute The World Resources Institute (WRI) is an environmental think tank that goes beyond research to find practical ways to protect the earth and improve people's lives.
