Dataset: The dollar value of exports from the US, by 2-digit commodity and country of destination, defined as "the country where the goods are to be consumed, further processed, or manufactured as known to the shipper at the time of exportation." This dataset shows the dollar value of US exports and imports, by month, commodity, and county of origin and destination. The data in this release are a complete enumeration of documentation collected by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection at US ports and are not subject to sampling error. Canada import statistics are used to report U.S. exports to Canada. Data are shown for 2-digit Harmonized System (HS) commodities. By international agreement, most US trading partners use this classification system although some countries put additional digits after the harmonized root number.
