Most data are from Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO); other data are from or are based on following sources: The World Bank; U.S. Geological Survey; International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM); U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Economic Research Service and Foreign Agricultural Service; and International Coffee Organization. EarthTrends is a comprehensive online database, maintained by the World Resources Institute, that focuses on the environmental, social, and economic trends that shape our world.
