Most data are from the International Energy Agency (IEA); other data sources include: The World Bank; International Road Federation (IRF); Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO); and International Coffee Organization (ICO). EarthTrends is a comprehensive online database, maintained by the World Resources Institute, that focuses on the environmental, social, and economic trends that shape our world. NOTE: The database was discontinued and is no longer being maintained by the World Resources Institute as of 2012.
