Description
Summary:The data files available here contain the concentrations of particulate matter less than or equal to 10 µm (PM10), as well as the emission rates, measured at varying wind speeds for freshly deposited Eyjafjallajökull ash and glaciogenic dust in wind tunnel simulations performed in 2018. A dataset for the particle characteristics (size, density, and surface area) collected between 2017 and 2018 for all samples is also provided. Five Icelandic samples were used to perform these experiments: Ash, Mixed, Glacio1, Glacio2, and Glacio3. The experiments were performed in Trent Environmental Wind Tunnel, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, K9J 7B8.
