The study area consists of thaw lakes, drained thaw lake basins and interstitial tundra with a polygonal landscape of microtopographic features created by ice wedges. Integrated geochemical and organic carbon degradation data from 9 individual soil cores collected in April 2012 and April 2013 are included in the synthesis product. This dataset contains one pdf file and nine csv files.The Next-Generation Ecosystem Experiments: Arctic (NGEE Arctic), was a research effort to reduce uncertainty in Earth System Models by developing a predictive understanding of carbon-rich Arctic ecosystems and feedbacks to climate.
