Data on chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments are presented from sediment cores sampled from six lakes 2017 and sectioned into 0.5-1cm intervals. ... : The dataset contains results from experiments and sediment core analyses from Kangerlussuaq in West Greenland. A leaching experiment where dust was added to different types of water to compare with a control where no dust was added. The leaching experiment was conducted in Greenland and the chemical composition of the leachates from the treatments was sampled at various time intervals and analysed by ICP-MS at the British Geological Survey laboratories. A second field experiment was conducted in three lakes in Greenland, applying dust to mesocosm enclosures to compare against a control with no dust.
