This dataset consists of 126 231 Pa, 118 230 Th and 121 232 Th measurements in the water column. All the measurements were obtained from seawater samples collected during the GEOVIDE cruise aboard the R/V Pourquoi Pas? from 15 May to 30 June, 2014. The cruise sampled four regions in the North Atlantic between 40° - 60°N: Labrador Sea, Irminger Sea, Iceland Basin, and Western European Basin. A total of 150 full-depth water-column samples were collected from 11 stations. Seawater samples of 5 Litres were directly filtered into acid cleaned HDPE plastic bottles from Niskin bottles mounted on the Stainless Steel CTD Rosette through AcroPak ™ Pacapsules with Supor Membrane ® (0.45 µm pore size). Filtered seawater samples were sealed with a screw cap and Parafilm, and then double bagged for storage. Sample analysis and measurement were conducted in the University of Oxford using isotope dilution Multi-collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS), including preconcentration with iron coprecipitation, anion exchange chromatography, and measurement on a Nu instrument MC-ICP-MS. This dataset contributes to GEOTRACES programme along GEOTRACES Section GA01 in high latitude North Atlantic.
