This is a dataset of microstructure data collected during the JR18004 cruise onboard RRS James Clark Ross, around Orkney Passage and Discovery Bank in the Scotia Sea of the Southern Ocean. The data were collected in January and February 2019 as part of the ORCHESTRA research programme, to understand mixing in Orkney Passage and over Discovery Bank in the Weddell-Scotia confluence. A Rockland Scientific Vertical Microstructure Profiler (VMP) 5500 was used to collect these data. ...
