There is no need to travel all the way to Antarctica to experience the repercussions of climate change, including rising sea levels, shifting boundaries, avalanches, and floods. Glacial melting has come to become a huge concern for environmentalists since the implications it has are gigantic and poses a threat to the entire ecosystem. Glaciers, due to several factors, majorly human activities, are melting very rapidly, calving off into the sea and retreating onto the land. Ice on Earth is changing all over. Since 1912, more than 80% of Kilimanjaro's renowned snowpack has vanished. The majority of the central and eastern Himalayan glaciers may virtually vanish by 2035, according to geologists, since glaciers in the Garhwal Himalaya in India are melting at such a rapid rate.
