Summary: | Fannia hirticeps group Fannia hirticeps group, Chillcott, 1961: 94. Diagnosis: Hind coxa posteroventrally bare (except in F. barbata); proboscis rather short, prementum at most 3.0X longer than wide; eye usually haired; mid first tarsomere often with basal toothlike spines; mid and hind tibiae usually with at least 2 setae on each surface (including av, ad, pd or pv surface); lower calypter projecting beyond upper one.
