Bouchet, Warén & Samedi-IRD coll. Remarks. Colossendeis bicincta is a large (adult body length ca 25 mm), rarely-recorded species with a characteristic, bulbous proboscis. Previous records are from the eastern Pacific (Gulf of California, Mexico, Colombia, Panama), the Lau Basin and the north-east Atlantic (Bay of Biscay and Porcupine Abyssal Plain), at depths between 280 and 4850 m, normally deeper than 1900 m.
