Synonymy: Dendoryx ramilobosa Topsent, 1916: 167, 1917:47, pl. 3, fig. 3, pl. 6, fig. 6. Ectyodoryx ramilobosa (Topsent, 1916): Burton 1929: 399, 1932: 314, 1934: 29, pl. 3, fig. 3. Koltun 1964: 80, pl. 11, fig. 16– 23. Material. 1 specimen from station 048-1 (SMF 11808), 602.1 m, 70° 23.94' S, 8° 19.14' W, 12.01.2008. Description. Observed sponge of very characteristic growth, upright on the substrate, with a narrow base and a rounded upper part, surface covered by rounded conules, bristled. Shape of the sponge resembling a broccoli floret. Skeleton irregularly reticulate with very thick spicule tracts; at the surface, echinating spicules present. Spicules acanthostyles with very few spines at the rounded ends, 260–430 x 15–30 µm, tylotes 250–300 x 8–10 µm, arcuate isochelae about 25 µm, and sigmas 20–70 µm. Remarks.
