Adults have been found in high mountains, at the flowers of moss campion Silene acaulis (L.) Jacq (Caryophyllaceae) (Menzel et al. 2006). Distribution. Known from Canada (Alberta, Nova Scotia, Ontario), Finland, Great Britain, North Korea, Norway, Sweden, USA (Maine, Montana) (Tuomikoski 1960; Mohrig et al. 1992; Menzel et al. 2006; Heller et al. 2009; Mohrig et al. 2013).
