Zool. 21A(7): 5. Capnia nigra , Zwick, 1971. Rev. Suiss. Zool. 78(4): 1139. Material examined. 8 males and 2 females, China: Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Fuyun County, Riverside Park, Eerqisi River, 793m, 46.9865 N, 89.5247 E, 16 April, 2017, Hai-Yang Xue (ICYZU). Diagnosis and remarks. This species is the type of the genus Capnia Pictet, 1841, and is widely distributed in the Palearctic Region (DeWalt et al. 2017), including adjacent Mongolia and Russia. Both sexes of C. nigra are macropterous. The above record represent the first collections of this species from China. In dorsal view, males of this species can be distinguished from other Chinese Capnia species by the main epiproct sclerite having sinuous lateral margins and by tapered apex bearing an apicoventral denticle (Figs. 16–20). Females of this species are identified by subgenital plate medially with a darkly sclerotized bar (Fig. 21). : Published as part of Chen, Zhi-Teng & Du, Yu-Zhou, 2017, New species and a new record of Capniidae (Plecoptera) from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of northwestern China, pp. 122-128 in Zootaxa 4311 (1) on page 127, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4311.1.8, http://zenodo.org/record/847399 : {"references": ["Pictet, F.
