Remarks. Ethusina rowdeni was previously known only by the male holotype from the southern Kermadec Ridge (whakatane Seamount, Bay of Plenty; 1292–1336 m). The present specimens extend the known bathymetric range and the geographic range westwards to southeastern Australia.
