description Tachygerris quadrilineatus (Champion, 1898) (Fig. 12) Previously reported from northwestern Mexico and Puerto Rico to Costa Rica (Guanacaste, Alajuela, and San José provinces) (Champion 1898; Torre-Bueno 1906; Wolcott 1924, 1936; Drake & Harris 1928c, 1934, 1938; Kuitert 1942; Drake & Maldonado-Capriles 1954; Maier 1977; Maes 1989; Bass 1993; Morales & Molano 2009; Damgaard et al. 2014), being herein recorded for the first time from Puntarenas Province. In Costa Rica, T. quadrilineatus is found in the same type of small forest puddles along the Atlantic and Pacific slopes as is T. opacus , also up to 1,200 m a.s.l. Material examined .
