The model is validated through comparison with observations on a global scale, as well as through sensitivity analysis of parameter values. Finally, the deliverable outlines steps towards integration, in a trait-based model of the pelagic environment that explicitly simulates both the unicellular and multicellular (metazoan and fish) components.
