Mesopelagic (Hulley and Paxton in Carpenter and De Angelis 2016); depth: surface to 1,720 m (5,640 ft) (min.: Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California; max: Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California).
