Verrucoentomon Rusek, 1974 contains 13 species (Shrubovych & Bernard 2012). Nine species are distributed in the eastern Palearctic: Russian Asia, Japan, China and Korea. Only one species, V. rafalskii Szeptycki, 1997, has been reported in Central Europe (Carpathians), and 3 species are known in North America (northern Canada, Alaska) (Fig. 7). Two species, V. aurifer and V. joannis, are distributed in southern Siberia (Szeptycki 1988), and V. anatoli is widespread in northern and eastern Siberia (Shrubovych & Bernard 2012). Three species, V. louisanne, V. kawakatsui and V. shirampa, have been recorded from the Russian Far East (Nakamura 2004; Shrubovych & Bernard 2012). Callientomon Yin, 1980 possesses only one species, C. chinensis, which is distributed in northern China (Yin 1980, 1999).
